Aaron T. Tulencik minimizes legal risks associated with union avoidance, especially during organizational drives, and has successfully kept unions out of companies by utilizing his knowledge and experience in dealing with National Labor Relation Board rulings. Additionally, Aaron helps his clients by defending grievances, labor arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges.
He is also well versed in the legal pitfalls associated with unionized companies and their ERISA obligations, specifically delinquent contribution and withdrawal liability claims related to Multi-Employer Pension Plans.
Aaron often counsels clients regarding wage and hour laws, prevailing wage issues, and he assists clients with non-compete agreements, and misappropriation of trade secret matters.
He has represented clients before state and federal courts, in addition to the National Labor Relations Board. Recently, Aaron successfully assisted a company, through litigation, in obtaining an approximately six million dollar construction contract from a government agency.
In January, 2009 Aaron was selected as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. The designation of Rising Star is given to outstanding young lawyers in the state of Ohio who are under 40 years of age or who have practiced for less than 10 years. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state of Ohio earn this distinction.
Aaron received his B.A. in Law & Society from Malone College in 1997. He also minored in Political Science. While at Malone, Aaron was a regular member of the Dean's List, an Academic All-American, and an All-Conference football player. Aaron then attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and graduated in 2000.
