Ron Mason can change how you deal with your Union. This includes helping you and your employees deal with a union organizational drive, decertification petition, unilaterally withdrawing recognition of a union, and stopping a union from coming onto your property.
Ron’s clients have a distinct advantage because he worked at the National Labor Relations Board while completing his masters in labor law at Georgetown University. He knows and understands the myriad of complex labor laws and cases that must be followed when dealing with unions. The nature of NLRB case law requires a specific strategy for each client, and Ron is well known for developing such strategies.
Ron also helps his unionized clients deal with the unions in collective bargaining, grievances, and arbitrations. His experience can have a huge positive impact on how you and your human resources department resolve costly, time consuming meetings with your union.
Ron has represented companies before the National Labor Relations Board in many cases including bargaining unit proceedings, objections to elections, appeals to the NLRB in Washington D.C., and in unfair labor practice cases before NLRB Administrative Law Judges, including appeals to the United States Court of Appeals Circuit Courts.
In addition to his work dealing with unions, Ron represents companies before the Occupational Safety and Review Commission. He represents clients at all levels, specializing in OSHA cases involving serious injury and death on the jobsite.
Ron has also has tried cases involving sexual, age, and race discrimination, as well as other employment related issues. His successes in these areas include negotiating to settlement, as well as trying cases in court.
Even when a union wins an election, there is a 75% probability that after one year of negotiations the parties will not agree on a contract (based upon statistics compiled and reported by the Bureau of National Affairs).
